Feedback provided to the tutee: As I have stated in many other blog posts, I am always impressed with how quick Je-won picks up new material. I feel as though he is starting to become more confident with taking risks and participating. His pronunciation is always excellent.

Lessons about tutoring and/or tutee learned: Contractions with the verb "be," negative statements with the verb "be," time-related vocabulary, telling time (with phrases "half past," "quarter past," and "quarter to")

Tutee: Je-won Lee

On Wednesday, I wanted to dive further into ways to tell time. On Monday, I introduced more basic concepts of telling time; however, this time, I wanted to go farther into specifics. Thus, we started to discuss different ways to say the time. For example, utilizing phrases like "half past" and "quarter past" in statements. Other than telling the time, I also went further into explaining the uses of the verb "be." After we spent time working on the conjugations of the verb in present tense, I introduced negative statements and contractions. After reviewing the conjugations of the verb, alongside the negative statements and contractions, we had an activity where he used these new concepts into sentences. It should be noted that these statements included classroom objects and other vocabulary terms he is familiar with. I look forward to the next tutoring session!
